Barack Obabble 2012 Campaign: Malaise in America
Barack Obabble's news conference yesterday kicked off his 2012 War on Wealth - Malaise in America campaign. He talked for just over an hour, while the U.S. racked up an additional $200 million in deficits. We are blowing $5 billion a day in deficits and this example of the Peter Principle gone wild pontificated about "millionaires and billionaires" getting away with not paying enough taxes. He embarrassed himself yesterday and looked Carter-like.
Then he rambled on about corporate jet tax breaks and the evil oil companies' tax loopholes. The corporate jet tax breaks (accelerated tax appreciation) amounts to a rousing $300 million a year and the tax loopholes for big oil equals maybe one day's federal budget deficit ($5 billion). The president should look in the mirror when talking about the abuse of corporate jets at taxpayers' expense -- he wastes more money abusing Air Force One than any president I can remember.
He chastised the Republicans for not cooperating on a budget deal, while forgetting it was the Dumbocrats who did not produce a budget when they had super majorities in the House and Senate. He is an expert at delegating leadership to political hacks like Pelosi and Reid, while he runs around the country raising money for his next campaign. He flew off to Philadelphia today for more fund raising. What a leader!
His best comment of all was when he talked about his two daughters doing their homework ahead of time and setting an example for Congress. I thought he was doing a NIKE commercial when he kept saying, "JUST DO IT" to urge Congress to get the job done.
The president should sit down and do a math lesson with his daughters. Start with a simple math problem. What is the deficit created when you take in $2.2 trillion in revenues and spend $3.7 trillion? Answer: $1.5 trillion. Even an idiot doesn't have to pull an all nighter to figure this one out.
