Hapless Harry Reid Begins the Whining Season on Face the Nation

Hapless Harry Reid, who would make an undertaker sound exciting, went on Face the Liberal Nation on Sunday and whined about the proposed budget cuts the House passed 45 days ago. Bob Schieffer, who should have retired years ago, did not ask Reid a single question about why he hadn't passed any Senate bill.

Any bozo who took Civics 101 knows that if the House passes a bill, the Senate must also pass a bill, before it gets reconciled into a bill for the president's signature. The House did its job. The Senate failed to do its job. Schieffer was asleep at the switch and failed to challenge Reid on why the Senate did not pass its own budget bill.

Instead, Schieffer let Reid whine about the terrible budget cuts that would affect homeless veterans and the poor little kids in Head Start. It's amazing he didn't pull out the old folks' dog food card. (What ever happened to families taking care of their own?)

If Mr. Reid and the other blowhards in his party cannot agree on a few billion dollars worth of cuts, how in the world will we ever tackle the massive budget deficits that are facing the country?

On Tuesday, Paul Ryan will present a 10 year budget plan that cuts trillions of dollars from the budget. It will be controversial and the Democrats will whine and whine and whine while proposing little of substance. They will surely try to scare the old folks, the veterans, the little kids, dogs and cats and, of course, liberals and all the folks who do not pay taxes but get plenty of freebies.

Hapless Harry Reid and all his whining beltway blowhards buddies (Democrats and Republicans) should be ashamed of themselves. They created the problem of massive overspending and all they can do is complain about the Tea Party and the evil conservative Republicans..
