Government Shutdown: The Debate is a Joke
The blowhards took a full week off for President's Day. Nice work if you can get it. Meanwhile the blowhard Republicans and Democrats are fighting over $4 billion in prorated cuts to keep the government running for TWO weeks. These people are complete buffoons. The President refuses to take charge, the Republicans have no guts and the Democrats are the same old crowd of tax and spend liberals, except there are less of them this session.
This group of morons in Washington couldn't agree on the time of day. Meanwhile, our deficit is growing by $4 billion a day and they can't agree on $4 billion in spending cuts to cover a two week period! (To do the quick math for you Wisconsin teachers -- that's a net deficit of $52 billion in two weeks.) At this rate the deficit will grow to a quadrillion in a few decades.
The government should be shut down, beginning with Congress and the Oval Office. The saying goes that if you are traveling down the road and don't know where you are going, any road will get you there. Or to put it more simply, Yogi Berra once said:. "When you get to the fork in the road, take it."
The President and Congress are meandering down the road to financial ruin and are playing politics with the nation's financial future. They deserve everyone's scorn and contempt for their petty posturing and total lack of leadership. Our zero interest rate financing will soon come to an end, just like all those teaser rate credit card offerings we all get in the mail.
When the bond vigilantes ultimately take charge, the interest on the national debt will skyrocket and the game will be over. And, of course, the blame game will go on until the next election. Nothing has changed in Washington, except there is more talk and more blame...what a disgrace. My grandkids deserve better.

Hey, Everybody, Come Follow Us on the Road to Financial Ruin!
