The great groundhog Punxsutawney Phil, came out of his hole today and did not see his shadow. He proclaimed that spring is right around the corner. What a relief. Living in Connecticut has not been easy this year...all that snow and ice to shovel. Meanwhile, Al Gore "the Bore"  proclaimed yesterday that the Global Warming alarmists predicted that this kind of winter would eventually happen because of all the carbon emissions.

Regardless what happens with the weather -  freezing cold, ice storms, warm weather, cold weather, hurricanes, lack of hurricanes...Al will always argue that the unusual weather  is all because of Global Warming.

Meanwhile Punxie Phil just crawls out of his hole once a year, without federal assistance, and makes as good a guess about the weather as Al and his buddies do. Who is more believable, Punxie Phil or Gore the Bore? I'll put my taxpayer money on Phil. At least Phil's proclamations won't destroy the economy.

I have it on good authority that Phil is a Steelers fan. He left a message for his handlers that the score of the Super Bowl would be Steelers 27-  Packers 13.
