Obama Celebrates Unemployed Labor Day with the AFL-CIO
President Barack Obama, the Job Destroyer-in-Chief, once again wasted the taxpayers money and flew to Milwaukee to make a speech before one of his strongest constituencies, organized labor. Obama and the AFL-CIO, two job killers joined together to celebrate Unemployed Labor Day.
Labor unions used to serve a useful function when there were such ills as child labor, unsafe mines, low wages, and other abuses. They had their way when the United States of America was an industrial power and ruled the world. We were a true island of growth the first 80 years of the twentieth century. Now we are part of a vast global economy where our workers have to compete with foreign workers who are hungrier and work harder for much less money.
Obama taunted the GOP as the party of "No" and continues to divide the nation. Forget about longing for George Bush. We will soon long for that other Divider-in-Chief, Richard M. Nixon. Barack Obama has done more to divide this nation along racial, socio-economic, and ethnic lines as his War on Wealth message, disguised as Hope and Change, continues unabated. His actions and words are beneath the Office of the President, but he is desperately flailing away at all the demons he can find. He should look in the mirror along with his buddies, Pandemic Pelosi and Hapless Harry Reid. to find the real reason his poll ratings are tanking.
The unemloyment numbers continue to be depressing. The GDP is growing at an anemic rate. And Obama's Summer Recovery tour continues. His daily speeches are an embarrassment and serve only to bore us to death with yet another proposed spending program. What a great way to combat a recession: expand entitlements, tax, spend and grow the deficit at an alarming rate. The Spender-in-Chief continues to show that he has a PhD in Economic Illiteracy.
Oh, one more thing Mr. President: the Dumbocrats, including YOU, were in charge of the purse strings since 2007. Only a moron would buy the argument that the evil Bush is solely to blame for the economic mess you inherited.
