Did the Senate Republicans Set a Trap for Obama by Voting for the Jobs Bill?
13 Republican Senators, including Scott Brown, voted for the $15 Billion jobs bill. It passed with 70 votes. Let's face it, this bill isn't going to create any jobs worth mentoning. However, Linda Dandy, my better half, suggested to me that maybe the Republicans are setting a trap for Obama before the Health Care "Summit" tomorrow.
Obama and his liberal buddies have been saying for months that the Republicans are the party of "NO". Well, they finally said "YES" and jumped on this jobs boondoggle. Now when Obama comes to his summit the Republicans can give Obama their list of reforms they want included in health care legislation and the things they want to eliminate.
After Obama rejects their ideas and slams the Republicans for being then party of "NO", the Republicans can point to their vote on the boondoggle jobs bill and say they are willing to vote for legislation when it makes sense. They are basically wasting $15 billion to save the American taxpayer $2 trillion. Are they this clever? We will see.
Either way, the American people are sick of this debate and sick of Congress. Congressional approval ratings now approach the Osama Bin Laden level at 10%. It probably breaks down to 9% approval for the Dumbocrats and 11% for the Republicans.
What we need is another snowstorm to shut down this three ring circus in Washington. Hope and Change can wait for another year.
After the Health Care Summit tomorrow ends in a stalemate, perhaps Obama should fly to Elkhart, Indiana for a third time to console the 200 people who got laid off from Accuride a couple of weeks ago.
Dear Harry, Nancy, Barack, and all you liberal bleeding-heart progressives: focus on Jobs and the Economy, not a job-killing massive health care bill.

Health Care Reform from these clowns can wait for another 100 years.
