The State of the (Angry) Union

Obama was Off to Tampa Today to Waste More Taxpayers' Money On HIgh Speed Rails that will Save and Create No Jobs...

President Barack Obama lectured Congress and the American people for 70 minutes last night in his State of the (Angry) Union Address. It is tough to listen to any speech that is that long, particularly when Nancy Pelosi is jumping up and down whenever the President mentions another spending program and when VP Biden acts like a bobble head doll all night.

Regardless, his track record of saying one thing and doing another is not good. He set the stage by reminding everyone how Bush handed him a mess. He then proceeded to whine about Health Care Reform being delayed and punted the ball to Pelosi and Reid to find a solution. Nice leadership.

His attack on the Supreme Court was disrespectful and his condemnation of earmarks and lobbyists was laughable considering his own track record as President.  The highlight of the evening was Hapless Harry Reid nodding off during the speech. He must be suffering from OBAMNIA.

The President is clearly showing his lack of experience in leadership. Considering he was on the one yard line for getting Obamanable-Care passed a few weeks ago, he showed NO leadership in trying to close the deal. He preached reaching out to the Republicans during the speech. He should have invited Reid, Pelosi, Boehner, and McConnell to the While House to see what common ground on Health Care they all had. He did not. This is the only way to get Health Care passed.

Instead what does he do? He flys to Tampa, Florida today to talk about creating and saving jobs by building high speed rail trains that will ultimately have to be subsidized by the taxpayer. Hopeless Change we can live without. Unemployment will continue to be a major problem in 2010 as long as angry Obama keeps preaching and running around the country boring every one to death.

Hats off to Governor Bob McDonnell of Virginia for saying in 12 minutes what Obama could not say in 70 minutes:

"Government Closest to the People Governs Best."
