Obama and the Sock Puppet: Showdown in Taxachusetts
The Beltway Needs Martha for the Debate on Health Care
Obama is flying to Taxachusetts today to try to bail out Martha Coakley, who Rush Limbaugh referred to as the Democratic Sock Puppet. His track record of persuasion so far has not been good:
His New Jersey, Virginia, and Copenhagen (twice) visits all failed. Maybe he should stay home and reduce the carbon emissions from Air Force One. A month ago Coakley was ahead of Scott Brown by about 30 points. She took a 6 day vacation, and campaigned like she was Janet Napolitano from Homeland Insecurity. She is quite uninspiring. Ted Kennedy must be rolling over in his grave.
The last week she has been a gaffe a minute by saying such things as:
> There are no terrorists in Afghanistan.
> Curt Schilling is a Yankees fan.
> Catholics should not work in emergency rooms.
Massachusetts deserves better than this political hack.
