Obama and the $90 Biillion Bank Fee: Just Another Tax on the Consumer
The Obama administration wants to punish the big banks by imposing a "Financial Crisis Responsibility Fee" on them. The "fee" would collect about $90 billion over 10 years. Of course this fee will be passed on to the banking customers in the form of higher fees or even lower rates on their deposits.
For example, instead of getting .20% on your money market account, the evil bankers will quietly drop the rate to .15%. This "fee", which will undoubtedly have popular support from the bank-hating public, is just another tax. And, of course, the costs will be passed along to the public.
Have you ever noticed all the "fees" on your telephone bill? They are simply taxes which are collected by the phone companies, who in turn send the money to DC to be shredded.
Barack Obama, in announcing this new tax, said in his 5,000th speech: "WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK" . Mr. President, where is the fee on Chrysler and GM, who still owe us $66 billion? How about a fee on Fannie and Freddie, the Frank-n-Dodd favorite bankrupt mortgage lenders?
Hopeless Change...the not so quiet War on Wealth continues. The President said 'we want our money back'. The American people are shouting:
WE WANT OUR GOVERNMENT BACK !

The Bankers will "nickle and dime" us to death to recoup their fees
