Mark, Tiger, & Barack: Three Fractured Fairy Tales
Mark McGwire finally admits to using performance enhancing drugs, the married Tiger Woods has more girlfriends than clubs in his golf bag, and Barack Obama's approval rating is plummeting. What lesson can we all learn from our public "heroes"? Simply that most public figures are figments of our imagination.
Mark McGwire fascinated us with his majestic homeruns in 1998 when he and Sammy Sosa both broke Roger Maris' home run record. He finally admitted he had some "help" with performance enhancing drugs.
Tiger Woods seemed to have it all...an incredible golf game, hundreds of millions of dollars in the bank, an adoring public, and a beautiful wife and family until it all came crashing down like a Hollywood B movie.
Barack Obama burst on the scene from literally nowhere...a gifted orator, promising a new way of operating in Washington.....HOPE & CHANGE. Almost a year into his administration and all we have seen is another Chicago politician: back room deals, no transparency, a huge expansion of government, and too much taxing and spending. His approval ratings have plummeted while over 4 million people have lost their jobs during his watch. The libs are mad at him, the unemployed young, who overwhelming voted for him, are disallusioned, and the independents wish they could have a "do-over" election. How's that HOPE & CHANGE working out for all you dreamers?
Three American icons...three fractured fairy tales. Be careful who you place your trust in.

Obama gave us plenty of liberal warning when he ran. Anyone who thought he was a moderate is an idiot.
