Senator Chris Countrywide Dodd, the Connecticut Coxcomb, announced he is leaving the Senate next year after too many decades in power. He saw the hand-writing on the wall and knew he would be defeated next November by an angry electorate. Naturally another career politician, Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, will announce at 2:30 PM today that he is running to replace him. Just what Connecticut voters need, another smug liberal in the Senate to misrepresent them.

It would not surprise me if Rosa Delauro, the flaming liberal career Congresswoman, also throws her hat into the ring in the near future.

It looks like the Republicans will now have to work harder to take this seat from the Dems. The Blowhard Dodd did the Dumbocrats a favor. Don't you just love how these liberal blowhards love to tax and spend, game the system, get rich while in office, and  then run away when re-election isn't a guarantee? What a disgrace. I was looking forward to him being humiliated next November.

What will Dodd do with the rest of his liberal life... retire to Ireland, become a sub-prime mortgage lender, or maybe become the president of the $100 million mystery hospital he got as a gift from Hapless Harry Reid? Better yet, he can always write a book about how to abuse power and get rich while in public office,.

Good riddance. It's too bad he didn't retire today.
