The Community Organizer-in-Chief Lectures the Fat Cat Bankers
Barack Obama, the Community Organizer-in-Chief, met with a bunch of "Fat Cat" Bankers today at the White House. Not invited to the meeting were Barney Blather Frank or Chris, the Connecticut Coxcomb, Dodd, the two Congressional architects and cheerleaders of the sub-prime crisis. After the meeting, Obama showed up 20 minutes late to a press conference to tell the world how he had lectured the bankers to lend more money.
How ironic, the government first encouraged, through idiotic legislation like the CRA, the banks to make shakey sub-prime loans, then bailed them out with TARP, and now Obama wants them to "loosen" up the standards again, when it is clear the economy is still shakey! Let's start another sub-prime crisis. Everyone knows the banks don't want to lend right now when their capital ratios are still suspect.
The President then had the gall to say the bankers had no right to lobby against pending financial legislation. Of course, he failed to mentioned that it is ok for SEIU to visit the White House a record 16 times this year to lobby for their union members. What is SEIU doing at the White House -- having tea and crumpets or lobbying? The bankers have every right to lobby to protect themselves from the President's anit-business agenda.
I understand it is the populist thing to do to rant and rave against the Big, Bad, Bankers and many of them deserve our scorn. However, how convenient is it of the President to forget how community organizers like him pressured banks to make unsound, sub-prime loans to people who didn't have a pot to piss in. What a joke -- another transparently phoney dog and pony show. Only an Obama Kool Aid drinker would buy this charade.

This is how Obama and his liberal friends view the bankers.

if everyone knew the in-n-outs of his mortgage modification program they would know what a joke it really is. If this housing calamity he thinks is going to save people is a blueprint for health legislation....count me out...i will take my chances with mexican pharmacies down i-10. at least they are cheap.
