Happy Halloween everybody. Was that a ghost of conservatives past I saw in upstate New York's 23rd congressional district? Did Newt and all the Republican party hacks get the message?

Ultra liberal Republican candidate Dierdre Scozzafava suspended her campaign because of plunging support and Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman looks like he may pull this one out. Let this idiotic nomination be a lesson to Newt and the GOP that it isn't ok to vote for any Republican. The person needs to represent main stream conservative/moderate America to give voters a real choice.  Newt supported her because she was a Republican, but a Pelosi Republican! Shame on him.

Meanwhile GOP'ers like Sarah Palin, Fred Thompson, and Tim Pawlenty saw what a loser Scozzafava was and had endorsed Hoffman. Good for them. It is time for the GOP to wake up. New York's congressional delegation has 26 Democrats and 3 Republicans. New York and Washington are going broke over their tax and spend policies. The voters want change. The taxpayers will no longer blindly support a liberal big spending GOP candidate.

Tea Parties: 1, Newt: 0.
 
Wake up, American Solutions. The GOP does not need a big tent. It needs to invite ALL Americans of all races, color and creeds to join it, but only if they believe in capitalism and the old-fashioned American values of limited government and freedom.
