The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is under attack by the anti-business Obama Administration. The Bankrupter-in-Chief loves to throw around numbers to make his pathetic liberal lapdogs in the press do his bidding for Health Care reform.The favorite soundbite that is played over and over again has Obama berating the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for spending $50 million per year, $500 million the past decade, to lobby for the business interests of its Chamber members. Shame on the Chamber. Only the big unions like SEIU should be able to lobby.

Let's do the math to see how outrageous the $50/$500 million figure really is. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has about 300,000 (not 3 million) members. That means each Chamber member contributes about $167.00 PER YEAR (50 cents a day) to have a unified and important business voice heard by the Beltway Blowhards. That seems like a reasonable price to me to counteract all the powerful Marxists, Socialists and liberal interests in Washington who are trying to destroy capitalism!

I wish there was a unified Tea Party Lobbyist group that would represent the taxpayers interests on the Beltway. I would be happy to send them a check for $167.00 per year so we could be represented year-round. I am sure we could find at least 1 million disgusted taxpayers to send a $167.00 check to let these Beltway Blowhards know daily how we feel about Big Government, Big Spending, and Big Deficits. Then Obama could complain daily about all those angry mobs spending millions lobbying down on Capitol Hill to keep taxes and spending down.
