Two More Speeches and the Number of Uninsured Will Disappear

Where was the Health Care Fairy Last Night?
President Obama, the Bankrupter-in-Chief, gave a long-winded speech last night about our health care system. After trying to convince everyone how he miraculously saved the economy from going over a cliff, he then gave a highly partisan speech pointing out all the system's flaws. It was the same old tired rhetoric. He broke no new ground in his speech. He rambled on and on for 40 to 45 minutes and was interrupted by tepid applause several times.
The highlight of the night was Congressman Joe Miller calling the President a liar and Pandemic Pelosi making a note about it. I am sure Mr. Miller's office has now been moved to the basement.
Obama did make a couple of comments that were very interesting. He kept talking about the 30 million people who do not have insurance. I thought the number was 47 million. Have 17 million suddenly gotten insurance or have they been taken care of with Death Panels? At this attrition rate, two more speeches like this and he will cut the problem to zero uninsured. If this is an example of how they count in DC (and it is) how can you trust ANY number they spit out at you?
Of course, Obama had to talk about all the money that was wasted on the war in Iraq. If we hadn't fought the war, just think of all the money we'd have for Health Care Reform, he argued. Of course, he failed to mention, the money would have been wasted on something else.
If he is so hung up on the Iraq war, why is he escalating the war in Afghanistan, a war he says he is not trying to win? You can't have it both ways, Mr. President. Waste money on one war and increase spending on another war in the same region?
After the speech, Barney Frank made a fool out of himself on CNN by proclaiming that "there are plenty of places to cut in the federal budget if the health care cost savings do not materialize". What a blowhard! If there is so much waste, why wait to cut it out?
Speaking of waiting, I can't wait for 2010, when all those angry mobs at the tea parties and town halls go out to vote. Change.....coming in 2010.
