Chris Dodd the Dud Is At It Again!

Chris Dodd has earned a PERMANENT place on the wall.

Senator Christopher Dodd, the Connecticut Coxcomb, aka Dodd the "Dud", is at it again, blaming President Bush for the foreclosure crisis. With foreclosures still rising, Dodd the Dud has proposed yet another federal agency to protect the consumers to regulate credit and bank products. Dodd is a typical blowhard liberal. When there is a problem, blame someone else and create another bloated federal agency to shuffle papers and waste money. Where is the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection which supposedly works to "prevent fraud, deception, and unfair business practices in the marketplace"?

Dodd pontificated on Friday: "The economic mess we're in is rooted in a spectacular failure of consumer protection. For eight years under the (evil) Bush administration, the cops on the beat went on a coffee break while millions of Americans were led into mortgages they couldn't afford. If the financial crisis has proven one thing, it is that protecting the financial well-being of American consumers should be our first priority as we work to bring our financial regulatory structure into the 21st century. I am committed to making this agency the centerpiece of my efforts as I work with President Obama and my colleagues to rebuild our financial architecture from the bottom-up."

We checked with the new Reality Czar of the Obama administration, a Mr. Chutzpah, and he quickly advised us that Mr. Dodd the Dud and Mr. Barney Blather Frank had plenty of opportunities in 2007 and 2008 to warn the American people about the sub-prime crisis. As Mr. C.  recalls, the Democrats controlled both the House and Senate and could have prevented much of the sub-prime mess by clamping down on Sallie Mae and Freddie Mac. Instead they did nothing as chairmen of their  financial  committees. Perhaps Mr. Dodd was too busy getting his own sweet-heart lending deal from his banking friend, Mr. Mozilo, to worry about the American people at the time.

Also, this mantra that people were "led into mortgages they couldn't afford" is absolute nonsense. This blather is typical liberal victim double-talk. Whatever happened to personal responsibility, Mr. Dodd? The fact is that Dodd the Dud and his counterpart in the House, Barney Blather Frank, did NOTHING to warn the American people about the irrationality of the housing market when they had the power. Now that the crisis is in overtime, they take a cue from President Blank Check Obama, the Bankrupter-in-Chief, and blame President Bush.

Chris Dodd is running for re-election in 2010 for his Senate seat in Connecticut. His poll numbers right now are low and he has earned his low approval ratings. He is already running ads in Connecticut telling everyone how wonderful he is. The Republicans have undoubtedly budgeted millions of dollars to get rid of this liberal loser. It is clearly a seat Dodd should lose and the Republicans can win. Connecticut is loaded with left-leaning, stupid voters so Dodd still has a chance to win his seat by lieing about his record. Time will tell.

Regardless what happens in 2010, Dodd the Dud is incapable of telling the truth about his culpability in the sub-prime meltdown. When he gets defeated next year, he can retire to his sub-cost villa in Ireland that he bought from one of his political buddies. The man has disgraced himself, his state, and his country with his pathetic performance as Senator and Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee.  He needs to look in the mirror, admit his errors of judgment, and just resign.

Christoper Dodd, the Connecticut Coxcomb, aka:

Dodd the Dud

Dodd the Disgrace

Dodd the Disingenuous One

Dodd the Dumbocrat

Dodd the Dullard

Dodd the Dope

Dodd the Dodo

For his pathetic performance as Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee and for his refusal to admit any wrongdoing in the sub-prime financial crisis, and for his all too friendly associations with people of power, Senator Christopher Dodd, the Connecticut Coxcomb, has earned the first PERMANENT place on the Beltway Blowards WALL OF GALL.

The 2010 election can't come soon enough for residents of Connecticut. Dump Dodd, 2010.

Dodd the Dud, the DC Dullard, will spin all day and all night to get re-elected
