Senator Arlen Specter, facing a near impossible primary battle for the Republican nomination next year, announced today he is switching sides and joining the Dark (Liberal) Side. Specter, a Senator for life since 1980, made the announcement today. Like the swine flu, his liberal policies poisoned many a Republican vote in the Senate.

This move was made not out of conviction, but only because he would have been defeated in the Republican primary. He thinks he will get Blank Check Apology Obama's endorsement in 2010 for the Pennsylvania seat. However, there are no guarantees in life, Arlen. Just ask Hillary Clinton about sure things in politics.

How ironic it would be for Specter, the new Democrat, to be defeated by another Democrat, maybe Fast Eddy Rendel, in a Democratic primary. Specter is delusional enough to think that he could then pull a "Joe Lieberman" and run as an independent.

Good luck Arlen--please take the limosine and pick up your fellow RINO's Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe and drive them to the White House for the grand liberal welcome.

Your next photo op should be with the new Senator from Minnesota, the comedian blowhard Al Franken. Arlen and Al, the dynamic liberal duo that all conservatives love to hate.
