A federal appeals court ruled today that the Bush administration did not properly study the environmental impact of drilling for oil and gas off the Alaska coast and canceled the plans to find new energy reserves.

This edict killed the potential for thousands of good paying jobs and billions of barrels of oil.

With the price of energy about half what it was a year ago, I am sure this story was barely noticed by the general public. Of course, the idiots on the environmental left cheered the ruling for saving the wildlife that includes polar bears, whales, seals, walruses and seabirds. Wow, am I glad those seabirds are going to be saved - there are only a few billion flying around the earth dropping bird sh-t on everything.

This ruling is another example why this country will NEVER become energy independent. The Obamaholes run around the country warning us about global warming, while Denver braces for two feet of snow today.

The rest of the world is laughing at the clowns that run this country's energy non-policy. How many "environmental impact studies" do you think the Russians or Arabs conduct before they drill? We are sitting on BILLIONS of barrels of oil and trillions of cubic feet of natural gas on both land and sea, not to mention the billions of tons of "dirty" coal that Obama doesn't like.

We are becoming a nation of pansies, run by the lunatic left at the expense of the general public's welfare. Enough is enough.

The day will come when gas and heating oil will be $4.00 to $5.00 a gallon again.  And Obama will still be talking about these stupid green jobs, and we will all be screaming again about drilling for oil but the morons in Congress will still be talking about the 68 million acres that nobody wants to drill on (because there is no oil there).

This country's energy "policy" is run by a bunch of left wing lunatics who could care less about the common man. Quite frankly, I could care less about the polar bears and the stupid whales swimming around in a vast ocean. Bush was gutless to confront the environmentalists over this issue and Obama certainly won't do anything about it.

There are four reasons to drill for oil everywhere in this country:

1. It is OUR oil. The HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS gotten from drilling will remain in the U.S.A. instead of going overeseas.

2. Thousands of very good paying jobs will be created for a very long time.

3. If alternatives to fossil fuels are ever invented (100 years from now), what a shame it would be to never have used the oil and kept the money in our economy. It would be like telling the gold miners in 1849 not to dig for gold because there would be an alternative source of money some day. (Little did we know that  the printing press would replace gold, but that's another story).

4. Oil is part of our everyday life. Most of the products we use in everyday life are oil-based.  To think we will stop using oil, gas or coal anytime soon is another liberal delusion. The American public will soon be screaming again and Obama, Pandemic Pelosi and Clueless Harry Reid will all be ignoring us again. They will run around in their limos while they tell us to buy the "car of the future" from a bankrupt GM.
