Memo to Liebermann: Secure the Borders with Existing Money
Another day, another committee hearing in the Senate. Senator Joe Lieberman, the Independent Democrat from Connecticut, said the administration's plan to send hundreds of extra federal agents to the border was a significant step forward but was not enough.
He then went on to say there is not enough money in the Homeland Security budget for increased spending on the Mexican border.

"Our budget is only $50 Billion"
Did anyone mention to old Joe that the Homeland Security Budget is $50 BILLION?! If you can't find a little waste in that size budget then we are doomed. This is a typical government response to a problem - just ask for more money. Don't look to eliminate a program that isn't working.
Give me a break. Joe may be an "Independent", but he is still, and will always be, a Beltway Blowhard big spending liberal.
