The Liberal Circus NEVER Leaves the Beltway
When I was growing up, the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus would come into town once every year or so. The circus would put up its tents, put on a few shows over a few days, and then leave. The problem with the Beltway Circus is that it has taken up permanent residence and the show has ceased to be funny any more. It has gotten downright pathetic and repetitively expensive.
The Beltway Blowhards, joined by the New York Governor-in-training Andrew Cuomo, are all beside themselves with self-righteous rage over the ridiculous AIG bonuses. The same jerks that put the AIG bailout together, blowhards like Frank, Dodd, and Schumer now are surprised about these payouts, when they were told about them a year ago. Usually when you buy 80% of a company, you should get some pay concessions, Mr. Frank, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Schumer.
These three losers are whining about paying AIG employees all this money. Schumer is even threatening to pass legislation to tax all of the bonus amounts. Hey, Chuckie, how about YOU and all your free spending liberal pals all work for $1.00 per year like your buddy Mr. Liddy, who you approved last year to run AIG further into the ground?
Meanwhile, Bankrupt Blankcheck Obama forgot to tell all the states that are taking money for stimulus construction that they must pay prevailing UNION wages rather than current competitive market rates. Tony Soprano must be smiling. So now, instead of 30 supervisors and 10 laborers working on each mile of road construction there will be 50 supervisors, 1 foreman and a part-time laborer working on every 1/2 mile of road construction.
Rasmussen recently polled 1,000 working Americans about union work. 81% of them said they did not want to work for a union. I guess these people won't be working on any of these stimulus projects.
Most taxpayers see no difference in wasting taxpayer money on AIG bonuses, overpaying stimulus workers, or $8 billion worth of earmark waste in the stimulus bill. Money wasted is money wasted. However, the Blowhards seem to like to wail against big business the most, not big unions or pork barrel spending.
Just another day at the Beltway Blowhard Circus. Except with this circus, the clowns never leave town.

Hey, when is my mortgage cramdown coming? I can't afford the payments on my 6,000 square foot house and the Home equity I took out for my two Mercedes. I'll buy a Ford Hybrid if you give me the cramdown!
