Jim Cramer v. Jon Stewart, Next Up: Frank-en-Dodd ?

Jon Stewart took Jim Cramer to task in person on Thursday and literally blamed him for the financial collapse the past six months. As a BIG fan of Jim Cramer's MAD MONEY show on CNBC, I faithfully watch it every day not only to be entertained but also to learn about the financial manipulations in the stock market and individual stocks. Jim Cramer is far from perfect but what better person to learn from than a former hedge fund manager?
Jon Stewart had Cramer back-peddling during most of the Daily Show segment. I guess Cramer expected it to be a "yuck-fest" because he clearly was not prepared to defend himself. Jon Stewart did a nice job in summarizing much of America's disgust with the excesses of Wall Street. However, he puts too much of the blame on TV commentators for their part in this crisis. I guess Jon Stewart misses kicking around George Bush. He certainly doesn't pick on Bankrupt Blankcheck Obama enough.
Memo to Jon Stewart--please invite some of your liberal buddies like Barney Blather Frank and Christopher Crooked Coxcomb Dodd on your show and direct some of your venom where it belongs -- on these two Democratic a-holes who stood idly by while the banking crisis exploded and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac disintegrated under their congressional watch. Not all the blame should be heaped on Jim Cramer and the Evil One, George W. Bush.
All investors should understand that Wall Street is a rigged game. The insiders will always have the edge. Few financial analysts will EVER tell you to take money off the Wall Street craps table. They will tell you it's always a good time to BUY, BUY, BUY when the market is roaring because you don't want to "miss out" making money in a bull market. Then they tell you to BUY, BUY, BUY when the market is tanking because you want to buy stocks when they are cheap. You hardly ever are told to SELL!
Ultimately, it is up to every individual investor to protect himself from these Wall Street crooks. When you have a nice profit, it never hurts to dump your stocks. Jim Cramer always tells people to do their own research on any stock he recommends. The lazy investor will always get hurt. It is the active, informed investor who has the best chance of making money in the stock market.
I guess Jon Stewart likes to take the Obama approach - we are all victims and need the govenment to bail us out. When is that Obama 401K bailout coming, Mr. Stewart? I hate the crooks on Wall Street as much as anyone else. Let's not put Jim Cramer in with that group. He has been vocal in his criticism of Bush, Paulson, Obama, the SEC, Frank. Dodd, etc. He must be doing something right because the White House and that Beltway Blowhard press secretary John Gibbs have taken notice of Cramer's criticism.
Jim Cramer might have lost round one with Jon Stewart. However, I will faithfully watch his Mad Money show to be entertained and educated and will only watch Jon Stewart on the Daily Show if he has Frank or Dodd on or Jim Cramer again.
BOO - YAH. Hail Cramer.
" Hey, Barney, do you think Jon will be as tough on us as he was with Cramer?"

Frank and Dudd don't have the balls to go on anything except an NBC show like Meet the Press or Mr. Softball Matthews.

Jon Stewart deserves an Academy Award for his performance on his show. Better than his performance as host of the awards show!
