Choose One: Reid's $6 Billion Bullet Train or Increased Border Security
According to several sources in the Pentagon and the military, there are no requests from the White House to deploy troops or National Guard forces along the border with Mexico, despite the escalation of drug violence.
Let's see, we have 150,000 troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, another 30,000 troops in Korea, thousands in Europe and Japan, but we can't spare any to protect our own borders?
What is wrong with our leaders? First there was Bush 43 and his pathetic, half-assed attempt to put up a 700 mile fence along part of the U.S.- Mexican border. Then we have Obama recently flying to Columbus, Ohio to brag about the stimulus package "saving" 25 cops from being fired. Wow, I feel safer already in America.
Why don't we just set up some Cerveza Stands along the border, serve some free Coronas and Dos Equis to all who want to flee here and give everyone instant citizenship, free health care, welfare, and bi-lingual education?

Bush 43 was inept at protecting our interests and Blank Check Obama is so obsessed with getting face time on TV over "fixing" the economy that he minimizes the escalation of border violence at our peril.
One has to wonder if all these Beltway Blowhards like Pelosi, Reid, and Obama who are surrounded by security all day long really understand what it is like to live on the border where the violence and despair from the Mexican drug wars is escalating. When you are surrounded by 24/7 Secret Service protecton, secure airplanes, and armored limos, can you really grasp the border security problem in Texas, Arizona and California?
I am tired of protecting every country's borders but our own. Let's spend a few extra BILLION dollars a year protecting our borders by doing some proactive things like finishing the fence, deploying troops, hiring more border patrol etc. And to those pitiful critics who say a fence doesn't work, the Berlin Wall worked pretty well for 28 years. Where there is a will, there is a way.
Wake up, liberals AND conservatives before there is a major, tragic incident on the border. Unfortunately, the history of this nation seems to be that something terrible has to happen before we wake up to reality. Pearl Harbor and 9/11 come to mind instantly. History has a way of repeating itself. Only time will tell.
We could get this extra funding if only someone would make it an EARMARK in the Pentagon budget. If the nation's taxpayers had a choice - Clueless Harry Reid's LA to Vegas $6 Billion "bullet" train or increased border security for the same price, what do you think they would choose?

We could stop this border nonsense real quick -- SHOOT TO KILL.
