Obama Signs the Omnibus Bill in the Closet
Barack Bankrupt Blank Check Obama today signed the $410 billion stimulus bill behind closed doors. What, no signing ceremony for the bill that has an 8% spending increase and over 8,500 earmarks in it? Obama should have vetoed the bill, sent it back to those two losers, Pelosi and Reid, and chastised both the Democrats and Republicans for their excessive spending. Instead he signed it in a closet and said the next time it will be different. Yeah, and next year he'll be giving a speech at CPAC with Rush Limbaugh.
For someone who is obsessed with his approval ratings,a veto of this bill would have sent a message to Congress and the American people. And his approval rating would have skyrocketed. But let's face it, Obama wanted more spending in "last year's bill" to justify future big spending budgets. This signing reminds me of all the baseball owners who raised prices dramatically last year and now are patting themselves on the back this year for their ticket "price restraint".
This argument that it's "last year's bill" and some earmarks are ok when others are not is nonsense. Will someone please explain to the American people why we have to send money to Washington so they can send it back to the local communities, after taking a bureaucratic "cut"? Why can't we all keep our money and spend it locally and keep it away from the Beltway Blowhards?
If some town or state wants to spend money on some foolish project, vote on it locally. Why should someone in Moosejaw, Montana have to spend money on cricket control in Utah. And if some city needs more cops on the beat, let them pay for it themselves.
This annual government wasteful spending charade has been around for decades and it won't change. The difference between today and 20 years ago is they throw around the term billion like they used to use the word million. Pretty soon a trillion will be the old billion.
Obama is a phoney, just like Bush, Clinton and the rest of the big spenders.

Bankrupt Obama, I like that name. A liberal never changes his love of spending. Palin 2012.
