Claire McCaskill: Surrounded By Idiots and Capitol Clowns

Yesterday, Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri criticized Wall Street CEO bonuses and said on the Senate Floor: " They don't get it. These people are idiots. You can't use taxpayer money to pay out $18 billion in bonuses. What planet are these people on?"

She should have taken the criticism one step further. The CEO's were idiots and so were Barney Frank and Chris Dodd for their idiotic oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

While this comment is certainly popular with her constituents and the general public she then called for compensation of CEO's of bailout recipients to be capped at $400,000 a year, the annual pay of the President of the United States.

The intelligent approach is to FIRE these idiots who blew up the banks and Wall Street firms and pay the RIGHT people the market place compensation to take over these companies. Who the hell is going to want to run Bank of America for $400K per year -clowns like Barney Blather Frank or maybe Christopher, the Connecticut Coxcomb, Dodd?

Why keep the current "idiot" CEO who has already destroyed a bank and needs government assistance? A condition of TARP money should be new corporate leadership. I would rather pay someone like Jack Welch $10 million a year to run Bank of America than cut Ken Lewis's pay to $400K per year.

If you are going to cap something Ms. McCaskill, how about capping government spending? And speaking of idiots, there are dozens of them in the House and Senate that deserve this title....people like Barney Frank, Jack Murtha, Nancy Pelosi, Chris Dodd, Harry Reid, Arlen Specter...the list is endless. The percentage of idiots and clowns per capita in the House and Senate far exceeds the morons on Wall Street and big business.

Claire McCaskill needs to look around in the House and Senate. Few of the 535 geniuses residing there could hold a job in the private sector, particularly when the private sector has to deal with the constantly changing laws, rules, and regulations passed by the Beltway Blowhards in Washington.
