Pardon Me Please: The Rocket and Barry Bonds
The clock is ticking on the Presidential Pardon Clock. Two characters who have already been publicly humiliated and who we would like to see pardoned by Mr. Bush are:
Roger "Rocket" Clemens
Barry "Home Run" Bonds
SInce 2003, the government has already wasted millions looking into Bonds' activities and whether he lied about taking perfomance enhancing drugs. Bonds has undoubtedly spent millions defending himself.
Clemens has nobody to blame but himself after his embarrassing "performance" before Congress a year ago. He "misremembered" a bunch of stuff and has since gone into relative seclusion. A grand jury has convened to see if he should also be indicted for lieing under oath.
Excuse me, but ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ...
What a waste of taxpayers' money. With all the problems we have in the financial markets, can't the government's resources be better spent on prosecuting the crooks on Wall Street, who destroyed billions of dollars of wealth while they got rich screwing everybody else?
Bonds and Clemens have been publicly disgraced and will probably never get into the Baseball Hall of Fame. These federal investigations seem to take FOREVER, and produce very little of value.
Let's go after the real criminals, not the marginal, famous sports celebrities.
President Bush, the Pardon Clock is ticking.

Why does it take forever to prosecute someone who has money or are the feds just incompetent. Put all our resources into the bums on Wall Street

Obama's train ride yesterday cost the taxpayers about $50 million for extra security along the way. What a joke. Think what $50 million extra in the Justice Department's budget would do to help put a few of these criminals away on Wall Street. At least Bush pardoned those 2 border patrol agents today. They should have shot that drug dealer in the back instead of his ass. They must have missed!
