The Obama Oracle Express Train

The Obama Oracle Express is on its way to Washington with a fawning national and international media following his every move. While President Bush has graciously allowed Mr. Obama to take center stage the past few weeks, the President - Elect is pushing the limits of over-exposure even before he takes office on Tuesday.

The past few weeks his act seems like a repeat episode of the tv shows The West Wing or 24 where make-believe Presidents "do the right  thing" as we imagine they should. Mr. Obama will soon transform from the Pontiicator in Chief to the Commander in Chief where he will no longer have the luxury of 20 - 20 hindsight or a President Bush to criticize.

On board with him are 41 "everyday" Americans. Not sure why only 41, but he could have easily rounded the number up to 50 by adding a couple of homeless people, unwed mothers, ACORN workers and people making over $250K per year. I wonder how many conservatives made the trip with him.

This train ride that retraces part of the route that Lincoln took to his inauguration is a real stretch for historical greatness. Can we wait at least a month before we compare him to Honest Abe? The only thing Obama shares with Lincoln is that he is from the state of Illinois - the state of rampant corruption, the soon to be impeached Gov. Blago, William Ayers, Reverend Wright and the inept Cubs.

To twist the words of former VP candidate Lloyd Bentsen,  "We all know how great a President Abraham Lincoln was, and Mr. Obama, you are no Abe Lincoln."

This train show belongs exclusively on MSNBC where Chris Mathews can moderate this display of HUBRIS. And Obama should let Joe Biden off the train before it gets to DC where his lame Beltway Blowhard act can be picked up by the Comedy Central Channel.

I couldn't agree with you more. I am sick of this guy's act already and he isn't even President yet!

Give the guy a break. This is a dream come true for him and many other people. After all, he was just a state senator a mere 6 years ago. Let's hope he does well. The nation can't afford a younger version of Jimmy Carter.
