While the public is fixated on the latest Senate and Congressional bailout hearings with the "Shrinking Three" carmakers, the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India have slowly  faded from memory. How quickly we forget the terror implications and the ramifications of the proposed closing of Guantanamo. There are approximately 300 detainees left at Guantanamo.

If Guantanamo is closed, where will these friends of the ACLU go? Here are some suggestions:

For the guilty:

1. Reopen Alcatraz Island, throw a quick coat of green paint on the walls, and lock these murderers up. For entertainment they will be required to watch 24/7 only Michael Moore and O J Simpson movies.

2. Send them to another detention camp outside the U.S.- nothing fancy, perhaps the 1star prison at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.

For the acquitted:

1. Rent a room from acquitted U.S. terrorist  William Ayers in Chicago.  President elect Obama might say, "Not in my neighborhood!"

2. Apply for a tenured professorship at Columbia University

3. Move to a santuary city like San Francisco. There you will be treated like heroes and given full citizenship privileges without having to pay for anything.

4. Apply to Fox TV to replace Alan Colmes on the Hannity & Colmes show. Allan Colmes, the liberal and avid proponent of closing Gitmo, is leaving this nightly conservative v. liberal forum.  How does Hannity and Habib  or Hannity and Mohammed sound? If the acquitted terrorist can not speak English, the show could be closed captioned for the Koran impaired.

5. Go to Law School and become an ACLU lawyer. 

For those of you who want to close Guantanamo, ask yourself, whither the 300?  Good luck with the answers!
