Barack Obama – Never has a presidential candidate with a paper-thin resume’ spoken so eloquently while saying virtually nothing. He ran a superb campaign using the weak economy to rail against McCain AND Bush, while constantly chanting “Yes, we can,” and “Change”. And he had plenty of support from a fawning press and network TV. His organization was superb and he took advantage of every opportunity he had. Congratulations for a job well done.
John McCain – Like the energizer bunny, he ran a vigorous, but visionless campaign. It was pathetic to see him trying to use “Joe the Plumber” to make his case for lower taxes and less regulation.. If it weren’t for Sarah Palin energizing the conservative base, he probably would have lost by another 3 or 4 million votes.
Joe Biden – It’s hard to imagine him being the Vice President of the United States. Every day on the campaign trail he opened his mouth and inserted his foot in it. For days on end, the Obama campaign tried to keep him locked up in the basement so he couldn’t bloviate. He ran a very "angry" campaign.
Sarah Palin – A little short on experience (although not as short as Barack Obama’s), she campaigned tirelessly around the country. Her crowds were enormous wherever she went. The liberal press did everything it could to destroy her. She showed a lot of backbone and class on the campaign trail. She is now a rock star for the GOP and will probably raise millions for future GOP campaigns. Also look for her to be a national voice of reason for DRILLING for oil in the U.S.

I voted for Obama, but without much conviction. I hope he gets us out of this mess Bush put us in. I felt McCain was too old, Palin too young and inexperienced. Joe Biden--he needs to chill out sometimes! Hillary in 2012 if it doesn't work out?

John, you're putting too much faith in the magic politician. The day of the promise of a panacea is still in vogue, but the truth is, we allow ourselves to be manipulated by the elite from both parties.
It's high time for we at the the grass roots to rise up and take back our beautiful country again.
We are over-taxed, over-regulated and over-promised. And the fact is that the average American keeps falling for the same crap over and over.
Take a look at this youtube from Penn and Teller and see just how stupid we have become.

Perhaps you may recognize someone like the subjects of the video. Heaven help you if you see yourself.
The best way to effect real change is for the average people in this country to begin a lobbying effort of their own. Too long ago the political parties sided with special interests and neglected the backbone of what made this country great.
